The log cabin at the Weirich Farm was originally Fredericksburg's first community bakery. The first cabin was built in 1853, and the second in 1855. The cabins have been in the same family since they were constructed. The two log cabins, originally joined by a dogtrot, have been joined together with logs and limestone rock to form one large accommodation.
The scenic view from the back patio is of the Texas Hill Country is inspiring. The cabin is very private, situated on about 40 acres, and is only about five minutes from Fredericksburg.
There is a large living area with a wood-burning fireplace. It is comfortably furnished and is accented with Fredericksburg antiques.
There are two separate bedrooms, both with Queen size beds. Both are also accented with Fredericksburg antiques.
The kitchen has a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker, and is large and reminiscent of the old-time country kitchens.
