115 Austin Place was
designed to be out of the ordinary. Austin Place will give you a memorable
experience set apart from the pack of Victorian Style or Country Style
that so typifies most bed and breakfasts today. It resembles a building
you might see in downtown Manhattan in the 1930's set amid the hustle and
bustle of a growing city.
The Guesthouse is in downtown Fredericksburg and only ˝ block from the Main Shopping District. The building has a unique front featuring a metal column front. The back of this upscale property has a sun room that opens up to the back parking lot. Covered parking is available for each suite.
Suite # 1, of this professionally decorated 1930's theme Guesthouse, features a sitting room decorated in deep burgundy and gilded furnishings with walls of golden orange that befits the period.
The dressing room is done in a pale pink color with a large lush white rug and 1930's shifferobe housing a small refrigerator and microwave.
The master bedroom is done in a ruby red motif with black accents and a leaded glass window. Hardwood floors and black and white tiles add to the romantic ambiance.
There is a private wooden deck accessible through the bedroom door. The deck has a private Jacuzzi brand hot tub for your enjoyment. Suite # 2 has two large rooms. The first room is done with green walls and gold and black accents. An antique four-poster teester queen-size bed is the featured piece in this combination sitting room- bedroom These colors and furnishings make for a relaxing and romantic atmosphere.
The 1930's period décor borders on a working piece of art. The bathroom is done in all white and features a large whirlpool tub. The second large room is a glass enclosed sun room. The sun room has greenery, table and chairs, and an antique glider for your enjoyment. |
